New Designer Villa set in a commanding location on the hills overlooking the Mediterranean sea with superb views over Paphos and Coral bay. Set in a quiet secluded location Villa Hunter was designed to create a no expense spared luxurious and relaxing holiday home for your enjoyment. Much of the design was created by ourselves with the interior design by Conrad and furnished with a very contempory feel by Bo- Concept.
The villa has all the luxuries of home with beautiful Egyptian cotton bedding and the most comfortable beds we could find in Cyprus. Outside the private heated pool, beautifully maintained gardens and decked dinning area with infloor lighting overlooking the Paphos coast is just stunning, an area created for your holiday enjoyment.
Villa Hunter is within walking distance of Tala village square which has several traditional tavernas and a local bar. Tala, often discribed as the Beverley Hills of Cyprus, is a mix of local traditional Cypriot life , expats and large holiday villas set on the hills over looking Paphos & Coral Bay. It provides excellant local facilities with 2 bars the wonderful walled gallery wine bar, and 5 local tavernas offering freshly cooked and locally sourced meat ,fish and Mezze.
Traditional Cypriot entertainment is available on some evenings while the Cypriot easter festivities are not to be missed. The lovely blend of traditional life in Tala makes for an unforgettable holiday experience.
To make the most of your trip a car is essential. there are many great places to visit , the historical momuments of the Tomb of the Kings, Tala Monastery,plus some fantastic local fishing villages with great tavernas or a visit to mount Olympus and the lovely village of Platres along the way. The sandy blue flag beach of Coral Bay is a short drive down the hill and Paphos town only 8 mins away with a local market , designer shops and a lovely harbour and waterfront. Paphos has some upbeat night life with many bars and international restaurants ( See our recommendations)
For us after a day on the beach it's always great to retreat back to the villa and enjoy the sunset from the pool and gardens.The villa is in a fabulous location and being above the humidity level in summer is a great place just to chill , relax and enjoy an unforgettable holiday experiance.
OUT AND ABOUT.
3 championship golf courses are within easy driving range. We have golf clubs available at the villa by arrangement and i can help with advise on booking and playing the local courses. Aphrodite Hills is one not to miss for the keen golfer while the spa there is also a relaxing day out. There are many local vineyards to visit especially around Kathikas. Whether it's a day on the beach , shopping in Town or lunch at a quite fish tavernas in St George everything is possible from your base in Tala. In the summer months the hills of Tala are cooler than the coastal areas below being above the humidity level and offering a colling sea breeze. So once you have had a great day or night out you will enjoy relaxing back in the peace and luxeuy of villa Hunter and the Tala area.
THE ACCOMMODATION.
Our new boutigue designer villa provides all you need for a relaxing stay including a private pool,satellite TV with sports channels and movies (currently not ITV and BBC), Plasma Tv, Home cinema system, Ipod dock and all the games,toys and films that will ensure you and the family have a relaxing holiday with a home from home fell.For the golfers ther are 2 sets of Calloway golf clubs available for a day out on the course or paphos driving range.We can also he plan and organise any oif your golf requirements.The villa has 3 large bedrooms the master having a hugh queensize,dressing room and en-suite with a walkin wet room shower.
The veranda enjoys beautiful panaramic views towards the coast and behind to the mountains, a great place to relax sunbath or enjoy the romantic sunset.
The villa is just 1 of 3 large front line villas over looking the Paphos coast , quite , peacefull yet only a few minutes walk to the village.
DETAILS ON ACCOMODATION
BEDROOMS: 2 kingsize bedrooms, 1 twin room. All are huge rooms with Bo Concept furniture. Master bedroom has a huge queensize bed, en-suite wet room, walk-in wardrobe and veranda with table, chairs and sunbeds for that romantic sunset and amazing views. Stunning! There are 2 hair dyers and a set of hair straighteners to help save on luggage
BATHROOMS: The villa has 1 main bathroom with bath and shower. There is an en-suite wet room from the mater bedroom with walk-in shower.
Downstairs there is an extra toilet and wash room.
House and pool/beach towels are provided
KITCHEN: The beautiful handmade kitchen has everything you need with black granite work tops and breakfast bar. Dishwasher ,Cooker, halogen hob, microwave, fridge/freezer, washing machine, iron. There is plenty of cooking utensils and crockery including out door picnic sets.
UTILITY ROOM: Store room off the kitchen. We have 2 sets of Calloway golf clubs for the use of our guests free of charge by arrangement. You will also find various pool and beach toys for your use.
LIVING ROOMS: Satellite TV with NEW FULL SKY package including SKY SPORTS & MOVIES , home cinema surround sound music system, DVD, CD, IPOD speaker dock, PS2 with 2 controllers. There are a selection of CDs, Various films on DVD and PS2 games for your enjoyment.
OTHER: The dining area has a round Bo Concept table with high back leather chairs seating 6. There is a beautiful sideboard with lamp and music system. You will find in the villa lots of infomation about places to visit and also our favourite restaurants.
There is a Mobile phone with a cyprus sim card that is Pay as you go ( Called so easy in cyprus) but makes those phone calls to home really cheap. Also there is a list of our best restaurants for eating out so you can book a table , eg do not miss a night at Tweedies you must book and a near michelin star restaurant just 2km from tala our best in cyprus and you really need to book as they are always full. BABY EQUIPMENT: There is a baby cot and stairgate available free of charge - a highchair can be hired in, if required.
CLEANING / TOWELS
linen/maid service: All rooms have air-conditioning which will also heat the house in the winter. House towels, beach and pool towels provided to help save on that all important luggage space. All linen is the finest Egyptian cotton for a very luxurious and special holiday experience
OUTSIDE.
There is a lovely shaded veranda with an ouside sofa for a relaxing drink watching the sun set over the Coral Bay caost line.
The beautiful gardens have some amazing plants, Jasmine, a large Tropical palm tree and some lovely plans on the terrance in front of the villa. The smell of jasmine is amazing while there is always a beautifull array of scented plants that flower throughout the year There are 6 sunbeds, a BBQ and a decked chill out area.The deck has a table a seating for 6 with a large sunshade.Out door lighting around the gardens and in the ground around the deck make for a very special evening feel. .
Pool Area
The 8m x 4m Heated pool is a real must outside the main summer months ensuring you can have a night under the stars and a midnight dip. The pool heating is a heat exchange unit and will get you swimming in the early and late season march-june & sept - november. There is also a solar cover and we will talk you through how to get the best out of this great system during your stay.
The villa enjoys 360degree views with the mediterranean sea to the south and the hills to the north providing a special back drop to your exclusive holiday villa and Tala village.
GOLF
Having played all the golf courses in the local area we can help with all your golfing arrangements. The house has 2 sets of right handed golf clubs. Mens Calloway big berther graphite irons & X22 graphite irons with Calloway and ping woods, ping putter and taylor made utiliy club. Minthis hills( Tasada) Golf club is only 10 minutes drive away while Secrate Valley and Aphrodities Hills are around 15 - 20 minutes drive. For the keen golfer Aphrodities Hills is a must The course is a good challange some great golf holes and fantastic views. The resort also has a really good spa for the none golfers. Tasda and Secret Valley are good holiday courses, Tasda set in the hills above Pahos is the oldest course on the island and cooler in the summer months. Secrate Valley is as it says set in a lovely valley and laid out amongst pine trees and some great cactus plants.
Try the new faldo course Elana in paphos. A great new course with lovely views and great club house. I have played all these courses so do ask if you need advise.
TRAVEL
You can fly direct to Paphos from many UK airports. The villa is only 15 - 20 minutes drive away. Direct flights are also available to Larnaca which is about 1 hr 20 mins away.We have a fully detailed set of directions to the villa that include mile markers and photographs of key land marks along the route to make for an organised transfer from the airport.
DISTANCES
Paphos town is 8 mins drive and the nearest beach at Coral Bay is only 6mins away. Guests have used the villa without a car as it is only 8 mins walk to Tala village. But we would recomend a hire car to ensure you can visit this beatiful island.
We have become very good at finding the best flights and car hire deals so please do email and we can pass on our useful advise to help you obtain the best deals.
FURTHER DETAILS
The villa is only 8 minutes walk from Tala village square or 1 minutes drive. Shopping in the old part of Paphos has everything from a local market to disigner shops set within the old narrow streets. There are several supermarkets all supply fresh local produce. There are more restaurants and tavernas than you can manange in a life time. We have a list of recommended restaurants that ourselves and other guests have enjoyed so you are guarenteed a good night out.

Stunning Villa With Spectacular Views

We took a pensioner and a teenager away with us on holiday and thought we might not be able to please both with our choice of accommodation and location but we should strike lucky with one of them. However, they both loved the villa and location. The owners haven’t shirked on comfort and amenities. The beds are wonderfully comfortable and if you’ve forgotten to bring something from home you’ll probably find it’s already provided. Usually a couple of days before the end of a holiday we are itching to get back home but none of us wanted to leave. It truly is a wonderful relaxing villa in the most spectacular setting we have ever seen. You have a fantastic sea view on one side and beautiful hills on the other. Taking a pensioner and a teenager on holiday could have proved very stressful but it was the most relaxing holiday we have ever had.
Tala Square, which is just a short walk away, has many Taverna’s and restaurants as well as a small shop. You could very easily dispense with a car and just relax at the villa and go down to the square to eat. The menus at the Taverna’s cater to all tastes and we had some truly fabulous meals. Everyone we met were so helpful and friendly and the villa owners are well known to them. So if you drop their name you’ll often get drinks on the house, extra large portion of deserts etc.
On our previous 2 visits to Cyprus we hadn’t had the knowledge of the places to visit and places to eat at other than what the guidebooks tell you. However, the villa owners share with you their and other guests recommendations and we found the most amazing places to visit and eat at that are not advertised. For example we would never have discovered the Last Castle without their recommendation and if you haven’t been there and experienced it you are truly missing a wonderful experience.
We have no hesitation in recommending this villa and once you have experienced it we are sure you would never consider staying anywhere else.

Fantastic stay at a beautiful place

If you are looking for a little piece of heaven then you need look no further than Villa Hunter in Tala. It really is a beautiful place. We visited for one week at the beginning of June and returned happy and relaxed - that's a successful holiday!
The pictures of the villa are good but we were still surprised at how beautiful the villa is. It is spotlessly clean with very stylish modern furnishings and all the conveniences you could expect of a five star residence - sat tv, v good air conditioning throughout including bedrooms, beautiful linen and comfy beds, comfy sofa and dish washer and washing machine. Home from home is right - we did not want for anything and it all looks fantastic and is a pleasure to be in.
The pool and garden were great with lots of flowering plants and carefully tended bushes. It was just so peaceful lying reading a book under an umbrella in the shade with the occasional dip in the pool for exercise! It was really quite easy to do nothing there! However, we did drag ourselves away and it is essential to have a car to get about and see some of the nearby cultural sights and take trips to the beach and buzz of Paphos.
ISome evenings we would just want to stroll in to Tala where we found there were bars and restaurants to visit. Mario's do some mean cocktails and the staff are really, really friendly.
Pete and Jane are the most attentive owners. They were so helpful and really want to make your stay as good as it can be. They gave us lots of info on where to visit and good restaurants to eat at - some you just would not find without their help. We thoroughly enjoyed ourselves and will definately visit again. Thank you Pete and Jane for a lovely holiday.

What can we say? Alison and I had a great two weeks at Villa Hunter. For us it was just what the doctor ordered. All your recommendations were spot on but we have to admit we didn't do all of them. For us a holiday is about doing nothing (mind you Alison would have me walk around every heritage site going if she could), reading laying by the pool or beach, sipping a beer or three and just chilling. This ticked the boxes. We went to the beach a few days but really, the pool at the Villa was so inviting, why bother with all that waiting for the air conditioning in the car to cool it down enough to get in when you can just sit in peace right there.
The villa was immaculate when we arrived, very stylishly decorated and furnished. It had everything we needed, it's very beautiful and you've done a fine job to make it not only feel like a home from home but a very tasteful one at that.
The local restaurants were really good but we saved the best until last, "The Last Castle". What a place!!! We couldn't believe it because we had driven right past it the first week and never saw it. That drive is unbelievable, you just keep going along that beach road (actually more beach than road), when we saw the sign for the restaurant we were shocked because having gone to the beach where the Turtles lay their eggs the week before, we just didn't see it. If you're not looking out for it, you would never know it was there. The food was simple and tasty; the BBQ lamb had a flavour to die for.
We will return soon, we love to travel to different places but for us, this would be a great place to chill for a week and get away from the cold of England. I have told quite a few friends about Villa Hunter so hopefully that will keep you going for the next few years.

We spent a delightfull 3 weeks at Villa Hunter during November. The quality of the villa, pool, furnishings and fitments are all first class as are the views and the quiet location.
The villa is within easy reach, would recomend car hire, of numerous shops, taverns and restaurants in the local area. For golfers there are 3 good golf courses, Tsada, Secret Valley and Aphrodite Hills within a 20 min drive varous beaches are also within easy reach.
We would definitely return for another holiday in the villa.

WOW... what can i say. this villa is just Fab and having seen other villas and locations in Tala i can see why this has become the most popular in the Paphos area.( to be honest all of Tala is great but this really is the best)
The villa is actually much better than the photos and is in such a lovely quiet location with great uninterupted views over the coast. It really is 5 Star plus with every thing you need with really comfortable beds better than any hotel we have stayed in all , well equiped and such a great design something the owners should be congratulated on and should be proud of. You can tell no expense has been spared in furnishing the villa and it is pure luxury.
When we walked in the villa it was beautifully presented with flowers on the bed and every attention to detail very well thought of.It reminded us of those great hotels in Dubai
The management team who looked after us in cyprus were great and really helped us settle in. The free welcome meeting shows how attentive peter & jane are to ensure that their guests are really well looked after and is a real added bonus that we did not expect.
The heated pool was a real bonus in april as other pools were freezing yet we had a pool that was lovely and warm cleaned twice a week and really made our stay such a real luxury.
The villa is only a short easy 5 mins walk to Tala village square that has some lovely tavernas and a bar which makes for a really nice local cypriot feel. The local people were great to meet and it is obvious that they know the owners well and are always to happy to help.
The Owners were so helpful with our booking providing a great booking service and good advise.Their car hire info saved us loads,while the info they send on e-mail about restuarants and the local area was great and we really enjoyed all there recommendations

We would like to take this opportunity to say what a lovely time we had at Villa Hunter. The villa was very clean and tidy and decor very impressive. The views from the pool and bedroom are gorgous.. The location was ideal for Tala square where we spend most nights at Mario's bar and the gorgous restaurants around the square and Tala. We took along our parents with us and our 3 year old daughter whom all had a lovely time, infact I think it is the first holiday my dad has been on that he didn't want to come home.
Many more reviews are in our guest book in the villa and all without exception have had a great stay and enjoyed Tala villa.
