Coral Bay is five miles north of Paphos and is popular with both local Cypriot families and British holidaymakers alike. The sweep of fine sand, covered by rows of sunbeds all summer is a safe place to swim. The bay has an almost tropical feel to it and is a magnet all summer long. Coral Bay is about 15 minutes' drive from Paphos in south-west Cyprus. It is renowned for having the best sandy beach on the island with safe swimming and many sport facilities. Tavernas, restaurants and bars serve fresh fish and typical Cypriot dishes such as kebabs, souvla and kleftiko.

Coral Bay is also home to some of Cyprus' best residential property, many perched on the stoney hills looking down upon the bay. Kato Paphos has its own beaches but many visitors prefer to head for Coral Bay and its 2km stretch of sand. (Near the shoreline you can sometimes see deposits of what looks like salmon-pink sand but is actually fine coral - hence the name!) The bay has all the amenities that you would expect from such a popular beach, including beach beds and umbrellas, a couple of cafes and all the usual water sports. Swimming is particularly pleasant here and the sea remains warm into early December.
