We are a small UK company based in the UK and in Cyprus. Our aim is to make choosing luxury villas, apartments and town houses in Cyprus easy and economical. We have many private villas to rent online, and all our staff have visited Cyprus and many of the villas

Like you, we have stayed in many faceless and crowded hotels around the world and have wished we had the tranquillity and freedom that a private villa affords, a quiet pool to swim in, breakfast beneath palm trees and outdoor barbeques with the family. That's why we got involved in the villa rental business, to make it easy for you to select the perfect destination without any of the hassles of trying to contact villa owners direct. 

So is your money safe?

The short answer is yes, but if you want the longer answer you need to understand the risks that tour operators run. They pre-buy flights and accommodation, then try and sell them. If no customers turn up they can have large debts and go bust. (we were around when it happened to Intasun, a very large tour operator, back around 1981, I think). Which is why they need a scheme to protect their customers.

Since the internet arrived, self-packaging has started to become the norm. Cyprus Property Villas is an accommodation booking agent. We don’t work with anyone but property owners and the public. That means we aren’t eligible to become members of ABTA, nor ATOL (which stands for air tour operator license). We assume that our customers are self-packaging to suit themselves, and our only interest is in sorting out their accommodation. Although we do offer some information on things like flights and car hire on our site, we do not ever make those arrangements for anyone. And above all we take no risks in pre-contracting anything.
