Driving in Cyprus
You will be surprised to hear that driving in Cyprus is easy and should really be
considered when renting an apartment or villa. Cyprus car rental costs are reasonable
and fuel relatively cheap. Some of hidden gems on the island can only be realistically
reached by car and so thousands of holiday makers take the simple option of renting
a car as part of their stay.

You will need a driving license or International Driving Permit and will have to
be over 21 years old (some car hire companies will loan you a vehicle at 18, although
this is the exception rather than the rule).

When comparing prices, make sure the quotations include unlimited mileage, comprehensive
damage waiver (CDW)insurance, VAT, delivery and collection fees. Some companies
charge extra for a full tank of fuel, additional drivers, tyre and windscreen cover
etc.
